The Institut Polytechnique de Lyon strengthens its commitment to welcoming international students.
This year, 208 international students, both exchange and full degree programmes students, have been welcomed within the four schools of the consortium: CPE Lyon, ECAM LaSalle, ISARA, and ITECH.
This action is fully aligned with the quality framework of the “Bienvenue en France” label, which recognises institutions committed to continuously improving the quality of the welcome and support offered to international students. The feedback reflects this quality: 96% of international students report being satisfied with the welcome they received, and 98% highlight the quality of communication and support provided by the administrative teams of the schools and IPL.
At IPL, a dedicated staff member provides personalised support to students. This person coordinates with key local stakeholders such as the Regional Center for University and Schools services (CROUS), French national health insurance office (CPAM), the Student Welcome Desk at the Université de Lyon consortium, and French social benefits office (CAF), helping to facilitate administrative procedures and student settlement.
Throughout the year, activities and events are organised to encourage students to discover the city and to connect with their peers. Their development have been made possible thanks to financial support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, as part of the “Accueil d’Excellence” project.
Through these initiatives, the consortium of the four engineering schools reaffirms its commitment to providing a welcoming environment that is attentive and supportive, and that fosters the success of international students.
