On Wednesday, September 17th, the Institut Polytechnique de Lyon (IPL) hosted a friendly back-to-school picnic at Parc Blandan to welcome international students from CPE Lyon, ECAM LaSalle, ISARA, and ITECH.
The event brought together students from Algeria, Brazil, Colombia, Cameroon, India, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Senegal, enrolled either for a semester or a full program within the IPL schools. Each student shared and introduced culinary specialties from their home country, offering a true world tour of flavors.
The group enjoyed Colombian arepas con queso, Cameroonian appetizers, Indian butter chicken served with flatbreads and biryani rice, as well as Brazilian brigadeiros, Pakistani seekh kebabs, and a delicious Filipino fruit salad with condensed milk. The students were proud to introduce the dishes from their cultures.
The IPL team also joined in with some classic French treats: Comté cheese, charcuterie, and homemade crêpes — a real delight for the taste buds!
We warmly thank Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region for its valuable support through the Accueil d’Excellence project, which made it possible to offer our students an experience that was both enriching and unforgettable.
