As part of the Extended Learning strategy of the schools, IPL organized this Thursday, March 16, a webinar about Raising awareness on Deafness in a professional situation, for students and staff from the 4 schools.
Hosted by Aurélien Mancino, psychologist working with Deaf people for more than 15 years, the conference explained how important it is to be aware and prepared when working with people with disabilities such as deafness.
After a historical point about the perception of deafness in society and after having pointed out the question of Inclusion, Aurélien Mancino explained us the different tools we have if we want to communicate with our deaf colleagues and how we need to listen to their needs if we want more inclusiveness at work.
