IPL member schools supported 136 students facing economic difficulties during the Covid-19 sanitary crisis, thanks to the “Solidarity grants” project funded by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
In return for assignments of general interest for their home school and their peers, IPL students facing economic difficulties received a financial support. These assisgnments are organized in coherence with the academic schedule, and tutored by a professor or administrative staff. They offer students several skills: capability to work in team, rigour, communication skills, mastering new tools…
In 2020-2021, many of these assignments have been carried out remotely due to the sanitary crisis. Students took part, among others, in the following activities:
- Peer-to-peer coaching
- Promotion of their home school at online students recruitment fairs and during the Virtual Open Days
- Assistance to the laboratories and FabLabs
- Maintenance of databases
Our students said that, in addition to the financial support they received, they have felt useful, have been able to maintain social contacts and have been valued when carrying out these activities.
We would like to thank all of them, as well their tutors, for their investment. IPL is also grateful to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region for its support to the young people studying on the territory.
