22 students from the USA, Mexico, the UK, Canada and Croatia took part in the Summer School organized by IPL from June 15 to July 13, 2023.
Divided between the IPL schools for the scientific sessions, the students came together for French language classes, cultural activities and outings in and around Lyon organized by IPL.
Following the program’s theme of ecological, energy and digital transition, the students took part in the Fresque du Climat, visited Les Alchimistes, a company involved in bio-waste collection and composting in Lyon, and discovered the Musée de la Chaussure and the Tannerie de Romans sur Isère; they also took a trip to the Monplaisir market and tested their knowledge of French culinary vocabulary; with the cooking workshop, they cooked a French-style chocolate moelleux with strawberry panna cotta; they discovered the Cité du Chocolat and visited the Cave de Tain with a wine tasting; a typical family dinner was also very much appreciated!
