The NEPTUNE project (Network for Environmental Projects United in Europe) is an ambitious initiative which, over the last ten years, has brought together teams of students from different European countries and disciplines to work together on subjects related to sustainable development. This project is fully in line with the Challenge Based Learning methods encouraged by the ERASMUS+ program.
This year, ECAM LaSalle is proudly represented by a teacher (Gauthier Daval) and six 4th year students from the Arts et Métiers and Engineering programs at the 2024 edition of the NEPTUNE project, hosted this year by the Dutch university NHL Stenden from February 29th to March 9th.
They had 10 days to propose a redevelopment project for a site on the Dutch island of Terschelling. They have been working with students from 3 other countries (Finland, Slovenia and the Netherlands) and from the following disciplines: civil engineering, architecture; industrial engineering and mechanical engineering. A multicultural, multi-disciplinary project to generate creative, high-impact ideas! For more informations about the project, click here.
Gauthier Daval, who teaches mathematics and is in charge of the academic follow-up of international students, is taking part in this event with the support of an ERASMUS + teaching grant within the IPL consortium. This mission will enable him to develop and consolidate his skills in leading team projects and multidisciplinary teaching approaches.
