Institut Polytechnique de Lyon took part in the Welcome Conference organized by Campus France, held at the University of Montpellier on April 1st and 2nd, 2026.
This major annual event brought together 460 higher education professionals to discuss the support and integration of international students in France.
Discussions focused in particular on enhancing France’s attractiveness, as well as improving the entire welcome process, from pre-arrival support to professional integration, through practical tools and shared experiences. Round tables and exchanges of best practices helped structure these discussions among the various stakeholders involved in welcoming international students.
Ensuring high-quality welcome conditions is essential to the appeal of French higher education, supporting both strong academic pathways and the success of international students. In this context, IPL has already implemented several concrete initiatives to support their welcome and integration, such as organizing friendly welcome events, including opportunities to discover regional dishes like raclette, developing partnerships in various areas, particularly in student housing with Livin France, and offering career support activities, including CV and cover letter writing workshops, as well as job interview preparation.
